EARLY SUMMER 2010 NEWSLETTER

We the members of BSDC wish to thank the Higgins family and the Beechy/Gingerich families for hosting our first drive of 2010 on May 8.  The weather was cold and rainy but spirits were high with good company and lots of good food for the forty in attendance.  We really enjoyed our hosts sharing information about their lifestyle.
Because of high winds we only had three turnouts.  Ted and Ruthie did a great job and what a picture to see those four minis in their team harness heading down the lane.  Thank you Tom and Annetta for bringing them.
I would like to dedicate this newsletter to our very special founding members Becky and Henry whom without them we might not be sharing  our reason to be here……good company and a love of our equine and carriages.
We have so many outings planned this year and I hope to share them with many of you.  I always appreciate new ideas so please don’t hesitate to call and let me know what you think  and what we can improve.   Cell PH:  740-361-3885
Have a great summer, Julie
p.s.  I would like to thank Jackie and Mike Minges for all their efforts with the newsletter.  I feel it will provide our club members a good source for information.
Special thoughts go out to the zumFelde family at the loss of their mother Loretta “Becky”  on  May 2,2010.   We remember fondly  when they were at Angie and Al’s Drive last summer.  Becky and Henry will be sadly missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to know them.
