Black Swamp Driving Club January 2005 Newsletter
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope your holidays went well and the Peace of the Lord is upon you once again. Friends and loved ones make the season a delight. That is what this month’s picture is all about. Laughter makes the world a little bit brighter. It’s good for the soul and for your health. Peg Graham and Mary Elliot show us in the picture of the month why we gather as a club- good times.
We will be meeting throughout the winter months at Trinity church in Findlay Ohio. To get there, take I75 to Findlay (the second exit coming from the North or South). Go to the Waffle House and turn right at the light. Follow this until you get to the church on the right (about a mile or two). If you need better directions, call an officer of the club and we’ll be glad to help you get there. We welcome all visitors interested in joining our club. Club members, please bring a friend. Our tradition is to meet on Sundays at 2PM-4PM with a snack in hand to share. The dates for 2005 are as follows:
January 9, February 13, March13, and April 10.
“Jingle bell time, it’s a swell time to go riding in a one horse sleigh…” That sounds like a great idea to me! I keep hearing the sounds of the season in Christmas carols. I am getting excited about the possibility of the sleigh rides Connie and Gary Gillfillan have offered again this year. Pray for favorable weather so that we can share some fun in the snow riding in a cozy sleigh with our friends. I will keep you posted about the rides as soon as I hear about them.
There are many dates of interest compiling for 2005. I will be posting them in the next newsletter, after the January meeting, when I will learn more information.
I hope to see all of you at the January meeting, if not some time soon. Good-bye for now.
