BSDC June 2007 Newsletter

The birds were singing and a nice breeze you couldn't ask for a better day to kick off the season at the Higgins/Emmons drive at Hepburn, Ohio.  There were over 40 people in attendance and we had 14 units hitch up and enjoy the beautiful drive throughout the quit countryside.

A special thank you to Charlie Poppie for organizing a "weekend of Driving' at the Kentucky Horse Park and to everyone who helped out with the clubs tailgate party "101 Coach Dogs' Without your help it wouldn't have been possible, you all did a splendid job.

A reminder, Joe and Ann Bell will have their horseless/carriage show on July 14 where there will be special prizes.  The potluck dinner will be at 12:30pm.  It you have any questions call Joe or Ann.

Roger Higgins Jr and Roger Higgins Sr. made the front page of the newspaper throughout the state of Ohio discussing their passion for horse carriages and about the club.

We are still in the need of ideas to host the annual club banquet, if you have any ideas tell a board member.

If you need to post anything in the Corral, such as directions or wanting to host a drive I will need it by the fifth of the month prior.  You can contact me at 740-225-9125.

Sandy Young and Peggy Graham are still in need of photos for the club scrapbook.

We received a special donation from JoAnne Shapler a beautiful afghan.  We will be selling the tickets at each club event and we will draw a winner at the club's annual banquet.  You won't have to present to win.
