March 2008 Black Swamp Driving Club Newsletter
Wow, can you believe it's March already? Before long the days of spring will be knocking at our door with flowers growing and new beginnings.
I would like to wish a speedy get well to JoAnne Shapler and Sandy Young who have recently had surgery.
The new club officers are as follows and if you need any questions answered they will be glad to help you find an answer whether it's a horse question or how to get to a certian drive.
President John Hunter, Vice President, Roger Higgins Sr., Sec., Joanne Shapler, Treas. Ann Bell, Board of directors: Larry Young, Gary Gillfillian, Tom Shapler. News report is Brandy Eckard.
If you have any photos at any club event Sandy Young and Peg Graham would be excited to incorporate them into the club scrapbook.
If you have anything to report, such as a drive or directions to your upcoming drive, I will need the information emailed to me.
The club is getting ready for the annual safety clinic held at the Hancock Co. fairgrounds. We will be demonstrating the following topics, horse health, vehical maintenance, harness, horse shoeing, fifth wheel demonstrations, and hands on driving. The time will be 2-4 PM and then bring a yummy snack afterwards.
The March club meeting will be held on March 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Findlay, OH. Take exit 159 off of I75, it's the exit for the Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans. At the bottom of the exit turn right. Take the street to the very end and the church is on the right. The meetings are from 2-4pm and an invitation is open to all. There is a potluck held after the meetings. Please plan to attend.
