by Stephenie Miles

Spring is on it's way. Yipee! Driving season is almost here.
What a great turnout we had at our February meeting that was

held at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Arlington, Oh. We would
like to give a big welcome to our newest members who joined
our club at the February meeting. We would also like to thank
Bob Burrows for speaking to us and informing us what all the
CDE entails and what it is about. There was lots of information.
You can find out more about it at
Would also like to thank the Hub of Ohio driving club for
driving up from Columbus and attending our February
meeting and listening to Bob speak.
Remember if you don't want to participate in the events
at the CDE in July, you can come and watch. If you would
like to bring your rigs and horses you can participate in the
clinics, just call and set up a time to do so. You can also be
a part of the parade that is held on Sunday afternoon.  You can
contact Bob with any questions you may have. Let me know
if you need his number.
In April we will be holding our annual Safety Clinic at
the Hancock County Fairgrounds again this year. We will
have a Vet on hand with any questions you may have about
your horses. John Hunter will be discussing carriage safety.
Mary Elliott will be showing and demonstrating to us the
proper way to harness your horses. Mark Newman will be
teaching us the importance of foot/hoof safety and the
proper way to shoe your horse. John Miles will be available
for the "hands on driving" if you would like to participate with
that. It will be held April 19th. from 2-4pm. Refreshments will
be provided by the board members.
There will be a carriage sale in Mt. Hope March 10th.
